Leaders and ESG experts meet at the ASEAN Business and Investment Summit

Our UNDP FairBiz team has put together a high-level panel on “The Future of ESG Investing in ASEAN” at this year's virtual ASEAN Business Investment Summit (ABIS-2020) hosted by Vietnam.
The event brought together some distinguished speakers from the international and ASEAN business communities including Hugh Young of Aberdeen Standard Investments (Singapore), Shinta Widjaja Kamdani of Sintesa Group (Indonesia), Vichien Phongsathorn of Premiere Group (Thailand) and Shuyin Tang of Patamar Capital (Vietnam). We expect the Prime Ministers of Malaysia and Australia to join by pre-recorded video.
The discussion was on how ESG investing can promote green growth, social recovery and good governance in the region. Also, how governments and business should work together to support this movement, and how technology should be leveraged to have real impact on the ground.
