IBLF Global attends the launch of the Vietnam Business Integrity Index

Brook Horowitz, CEO of IBLF Global, attended the launch of the Vietnam Business Integrity Index (VBII), a new self-assessment tool for companies in Vietnam, which IBLF Global contributed to when advising the UNDP FairBiz regional project.

It's going to be really useful asset for multinationals and local companies. In time, it could become a benchmark for the market.

What was also very exciting about this event was how the discussion about business integrity has flourished in the 6-7 years since IBLF Global started this work together with the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce (VCCI) back in 2016. Still supported by the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office and the British Embassy in Vietnam, but now under the guidance of the very able UNDP in Viet Nam and led by the brilliant Ms Đinh Thị Bích Xuân of VCCI, this work is going from strength-to-strength: this can be seen in the openness and ease of the discussions, the active participation of business, the strength of advocacy from VCCI, and the increasing engagement of the government.

Now it needs to be scaled up. IBLF hopes the international business and investment community in Vietnam will play its part.

On a personal level, Brook expressed his gratitude to meet up with friends and colleagues - in person for the first time in three years - from VCCI, UNDP and the UK Embassy and many others who have worked tirelessly on this initiative.
