Mr Brook Horowitz, CEO at IBLF Global, published an article "Are compliance officers of today the integrity leaders of tomorrow?" on the Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics (SCCE) in the March edition of the Compliance & Ethics Professional (CEP) Magazine. 

In this article, he pointed out the changes afoot in the business environment, such as new technologies, redefinition of capitalism and extended anti-corruption regulations, will affect the compliance and shape the compliance officers’ role.

What will be the new role of chief compliance officers (CCO) in the future? Mr Horowitz projected that the function of compliance would transform from rules-based to values-based management; the CCO’s role will go well beyond compliance, towards a new concept of “integrity leader”.
