Early June this year, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) launched an initiative "Women Leadership in Business Integrity” in Thailand with cooperation of Thailand’s Federation of Business Professional Women (FBPW), through its FairBiz project - Promoting a Fair Business Environment in ASEAN. It aimed to help women entrepreneurs to strengthen their leadership in promoting business integrity.

Today, three months after the two-day business integrity training program, 30 women entrepreneurs came back for "Action Day", during which the participants shared their experience of bringing what they had learnt in the training workshop. The participates shared how women entrepreneurs, considered as the vulnerable group of corruption, can become the driving force for business integrity in their community.

Brook Horowitz, CEO of IBLF Global and Business Integrity Advisor at the UNDP, discussed with women entrepreneurs about the advantages of operationalizing business integrity and the challenges. He shared that, it was exciting to hear a number of inspiring examples of how companies introduced Codes of Conduct, due diligence, whistleblowing systems, training and values assessment methodologies to their operations and even to their suppliers and distributors.
